Returns & Exchange Policy 

For hygiene reasons, all earrings are non-returnable unless there is a design flaw.

Faulty or discoloured items can be returned within 14 days of purchase for exchange or full refund with original purchase receipt. If you wish to exchange a faulty item within 2 to 8 weeks of purchasing, you may avail of a discounted rate of a new piece upon inspection of the original piece and the original purchase receipt.

Repairs

If your jewellery breaks it will be covered by our 6 months manufacturer's warranty after the date of purchase. Please be aware that pieces needing repairs may be subject to a fee depending on the work required. Please also be mindful that repairs can take up to 3-6 months. We try our best to get it to you as soon as possible, however repairs are sent to our artisans overseas. We do not accept returns or free repairs on pieces that have been bent, broken, or lost stones/gems due to rough wear or inadequate care. 

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are shipping an item over €75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Tarnishing

All jewellery, with the exception of very specific pure metals, will tarnish over time. This is natural, and simply a result of the materials interacting with moisture in the environment. As such, this is not covered in our return or exchange policy. You can prevent tarnishing by keeping your jewellery stored away from any water sources, or natural materials like plants that may trap moisture. Anti-tarnish strips are easily purchased and may help prevent this issue as well. Beyond keeping your jewellery dry and out of the sun, you can also help prevent tarnishing by wearing gloves when handling. 

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you. 

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.

Shipping Instructions

Please email hello@pierced.ie for all returns, exchanges or broken items that need replacing including your name and order number. 

We do not cover return shipping costs for orders unless we have sent an item in error.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund, exchange or repair.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
